Dinner out

This evening (July 3rd) we took the gang out for supper.  they had a deal at this place for RM 25 (<$10) each which included a drink (I had mango juice and John had coffee), soup, main course, and an ice cream buffet. The food was very good!!  I had the french onion soup and John had the mushroom.  I had the chicken parmigiana and John had a salad - the chicken was quite nice - although it was on a layer of brown gravy along with the "normal" tomato and cheese on top.

The ice cream however was something else.  They had strawberry, chocolate mint, vanilla, and chocolate.  They also had something called sweetcorn and one called yam - they were really made from and flavored with corn or yam!  Just about the most unusual thing ever!! I tried both - they must be an acquired taste!!!  John however had a second helping of the yam ice cream.

The yam ice cream is purple and the sweet corn is yellow.
