Tropical Spice Garden
We went and checked out the Tropical Spice Garden. This was a very interesting place! They had a lot of trails going through various tropical forest areas. It cost RM 15 per person to go in and was well worth the visit. They also had guided tours and those maybe would have been well worth the money! There were so many cool things to see! If you watch the Amazing Race this particular place was on the show where one team had to go for a detour while in Penang Malaysia. It was cool to see it on TV and then to see the real thing!

Wet Market
This morning we went to the wet market to stock up of fruit and veggies. They also sell a lot of fresh chicken, fish and pork here. The pork was off in a back room all by itself. The chicken could be prepped for you as you needed - thighs, whole, skinless, boneless breasts or whatever. There were also quite a few food stands to buy various meals and drinks. There were several things there (fruit and veggies) that I did not recognize... Very busy, interesting place - and very inexpensive!

John is becoming addicted to the coffee here! It is so thick and rich! You order coffee with milk and they use sweetened condensed milk (and lots of it!) They pour a goodly amount of coffee grounds into a filter/strainer and then pour hot water through it. The they pour the coffee into a large metal cup and pour some sweetened condensed milk into another metal cup (looked like about 1-2 T). Then to stir she poured the coffee into the milk and then poured back and forth from cup to cup. It was fun to watch. Then to have your coffee to go - they pour it into a plastic bag and tie it shut! Picture how you take a goldfish home from the pet store and this is how you take your coffee. Simply ask for a straw and then insert that through the top and enjoy! The coffee is actually amazing!! I don't like cream or sugar in coffee and this I love too!!
